Andrew Jackson As President And Asbury Dickins Signed Patent For A Machine For Mortising Sash Doors And Blinds And Other Articles
Document Signed for a machine for mortising sash doors and blinds and other articles. Accompanied by four drawings of the invention and a one-and-a-half page description. Document also signed by Benjamin F. Butler as Attorney General. To Ira Gay, May 29, 1835. One page. Signed on verso by Henry L. Ellsworth as Commissioner of Patents, noting that the patent had to be re-recorded at the Patent Office on April 29, 1837. Also with patent signed by John Forsyth as Secretary of State and Henry L. Ellsworth as Commissioner of Patents for improvement in the mortise sash for fastening doors. Accompanied by one drawing and one-and-a-half page description of the invention. To Charles S. Gay of Nashua, New Hampshire, September 28, 1837. One page.
